2. Product Information

Cal Cigarro is an agricultural business dedicated to the production and sale of fruits, vegetables, and other food products.

Our own produce is grown following the principles established by European organic farming regulations. Where a product holds official organic certification, this will be clearly indicated in its product description.

Products sourced from third-party suppliers will display the corresponding certification and origin information where applicable.

3. Ordering Process

To place an order, users must register as customers on the website.

Customers may:

  • Add one or more delivery addresses.

  • Select the products they wish to purchase.

  • Choose quantities or weights according to the available options.

  • Select a delivery or collection date and time slot.

  • Choose a payment method.

Confirmation of an order constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and forms a legally binding sales contract between the customer and Cal Cigarro S.L.

4. Prices and Taxes

All prices displayed on the website include the applicable Value Added Tax (VAT).

Any fees associated with card payments are included in the final purchase price.

Cal Cigarro reserves the right to modify product prices at any time. However, the price applicable to an order will always be the one displayed at the time the order is confirmed.

5. Minimum Order Value and Delivery Charges

  • Minimum order value: €5.

  • Orders over €12 include free delivery.

  • Orders below €12 will incur a delivery charge of €1.90.

6. Delivery and Collection Areas

Home delivery is currently available in:

  • Salt

  • Girona

  • Vilablareix

  • Bescanó

Available delivery and collection dates and times may vary depending on the delivery area and the date the order is placed.

Orders may also be collected directly from Cal Cigarro's facilities located at Deveses del Marquès de Salt, s/n.

The delivery schedules shown on the website are indicative only. During checkout, customers will be presented with the available delivery or collection options for their specific order.

7. Order Fulfilment

Orders will be delivered on the date and within the time slot selected by the customer.

For logistical reasons, deliveries may be delayed by up to 45 minutes beyond the scheduled delivery time.

If any product is unavailable or does not meet Cal Cigarro's quality standards before delivery, Cal Cigarro may:

  • Replace it with a similar product of equivalent value.

  • Refund the corresponding amount to the customer.

8. Payment Methods

The following payment methods are accepted:

  • Visa and Mastercard credit or debit cards through a secure payment platform.

  • Cash upon delivery or collection, where available.

9. Payment Security

Card payments are processed through Secure Electronic Commerce (SEC) systems using the security protocols established by the relevant financial institutions.

Additional fraud prevention measures are implemented to detect suspicious transactions and repeated purchase attempts.

10. Returns and Complaints

Due to the perishable nature of food products, voluntary returns are not accepted.

Customers may submit complaints if products:

  • Arrive damaged.

  • Are spoiled or altered.

  • Have passed their expiry date.

  • Present defects that make them unsuitable for consumption.

To submit a complaint, customers must email info@calcigarro.cat including:

  • Delivery note or invoice number.

  • Affected product.

  • Description of the issue.

  • Supporting photographs where possible.

Complaint deadlines:

  • Fresh products: within 24 hours of delivery.

  • Packaged products: within 15 days of delivery, provided the expiry date is later than the complaint period.

Once the complaint has been validated, customers may choose between:

  • A refund of the affected product value within a maximum of 15 days.

  • A voucher of the same value for future purchases, with no expiry date.

11. Liability

Cal Cigarro shall not be liable for delays or failures resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including force majeure events, adverse weather conditions, traffic disruptions, government restrictions, or other extraordinary circumstances.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by Spanish law.

Cal Cigarro participates in the local direct farm sales scheme regulated by Decree 24/2013 of the Government of Catalonia, under accreditation number VP/P/2481/2016 for its own produce.

For any complaint, dispute, or disagreement, both parties agree to seek an amicable resolution through direct communication.

Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction established by applicable consumer protection legislation.

13. Acceptance of Terms

Placing an order through this website constitutes express acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.
